Photoshop Options

I gotten some feedback regarding cameras (Thank You). Now I am hoping to get feedback regarding photoshop/photo processing. What do you use? I currently do not have anything, but am considering getting it. Money is very tight now that I stepped down from my position @ work.
Any suggestions?
